Emirates appear to have done away with the cabin crew video interview
With the recent introduction of Open Days by Emirates for cabin crew opportunities, Emirates Airline appear to have done away with the HireVue digital interview for online applicants. This means whether you choose to attend the Open Day and do the CV drop in person, or opt for the easier online application, all you need now is your CV and the photographs. Whichever method you decide, your application will now be assessed by recruiters in the traditional sense, and if successful, you will be invited to the Assessment Day at a city near you.
Below are two snapshots taken from the Emirates Group Careers cabin crew website which shows before 1st April, and the later one taken on 2nd April. Rest assured it isn't an April Fools' Day prank. The tab that reads 'Digital Interview' has also mysteriously disappeared when you log-in to the recruitment portal.
For those who have previously completed their video interviews and pending review, the video is likely to be disregarded to ensure all applicants are on a level playing field and only assessed on your CV and photos.
Now that your CV and photos are your main marketing documents, they have to be near perfect before you will get an invitation to the Assessment Day and possibly the Final Interview.
