The new hybrid cabin crew CV for Emirates, Etihad and Qatar
In the past, we used to have to submit our CV, and sometimes accompanied by a cover letter or personal statement (if requested by the airline).
The modern CV is to include a paragraph or two about yourself, what ambition means to you, your pathway you are taking to achieve your ambition, and the skills you have today. This section is often included after listing your personal details and before you start assembling your job roles.
You can call it Personal Statement, About Me, or even My career ambition, and then write about 150 to 200 words. As a CV only contain bullet points about your skills and experience, this section will enable the recruiter to find out about the person you are, who you are, your ambition, and what it means to you to take on the role of a cabin crew. It is much shorter than an individual personal statement or cover letter.
When done well, this could mean you will be shortlisted for the assessment day or a further virtual assessment.
When taking your CV to the open day, the recruiter is able to make a quick read, and then decide if you make the shortlist to go to the next group round.
