Examples of pictures sent to us that we are unable to edit as they do not meet the Emirates and Qatar requirements

Each month, we receive hundreds of Emirates and Qatar application pictures. Before we accept your photos for editing to a white background, the photos need to meet the Rules and are taken in good daylight, clear and in focus.  We will advise you to retake if they are not suitable for Emirates or Qatar.

Submission received - The image was taken from a "top down" camera angle. This results in the neck being shortened and the body and legs being distorted and appear smaller. Ensure the camera lens is at the same level as your eyes. The edge of the wall going down at an angle tells you that the camera is looking down at the subject.

Example 1

Submission received for photo editing for Emirates Open Day - The problem here is that her full length image was  taken from a "top down" camera angle.  This results in the neck being shortened, the body and legs look distorted and appear smaller.  It isn't flattering and the airlines reject such application pictures. The edge of the wall going down at an angle tells you that the camera is looking down at the subject.

Corrective Action advised: Ensure the camera lens is at the same level as your eyes and ask the photographer not to tilt the camera or iPhone.

Submission received for Emirates open Day. Problem: Picture far too dark for us to work on and also has a "top-down" approach". Pictures taken indoors rarely work due to under exposure, poor focus or yellow cast. She was asked to take the picture outdoors in natural daylight.
