Emirates Cabin Services Assistant (CSA) Role - Emirates Airline is recruiting for both cabin crew and CSAs

On 2nd December, Janah Eihzyl's dream as a little girl came true. Janah could not believe that last Christmas, and the lead up to the Christmas season of 2022 turned out to be a beautiful life changing event for her. During one of her layovers in Paris, and in her own words, she says she went back to her hotel room (after sightseeing) in tears, tears of joy, grateful that she fulfilled one of her early childhood dreams - to fly with Emirates and to wear that lovely red hat.She never felt so at ease with her inner self, that nice and contented feeling. We are so pleased and so happy for Janah.

Janah graduated on 3rd December 2022 at the Emirates Aviation College, and thereafter they often say the rest is history. Her 380 flights that followed on took her to several beautiful European destinations. With Christmas markets in full swing, it was a glorious experience for her and Janah treasured every moment of it. She is excited about her whole new experience. Being assigned only to 380s does have it's advantages, she always gets rostered to some of the very best EK destinations such as Paris, London, Amsterdam, Brisbane, the US and Toronto.

To those new to the CSA (Cabin Service Assistant) role, here is a quick summary. What is the CSA role?

The uniform as you go on board will be the same shirt, jacket and red hat as the cabin crew but you will wear trousers.

On board, the CSA will report to the purser, and the CSA will then wear the red tabard which is really pretty.

Her duties and responsibilities on board are: check that the inventory is correct, take care of the display in the luxury first class shower spa, to ensure it is always looking immaculate, and stocks are replenished continuously. You will communicate with the first class crew to know who is going to take the shower next, so you can prepare, anticipate and manage the situation. You will also explain the shower spa to the first class passengers which is why communication here is of the highest standards expected.

CSAs get recruited for their nicest personalities. On board they wear a different uniform to the crew so passengers can tell them apart i.e. the red tabard vs the waistcoat for crew. Sometimes CSAs do get bombarded with requests for drinks on their way down the cabin which of course they will get for them but more often they will convey the messages to the crew. Yes CSAs work hard on busy flights but equally on quiet flights they will have a little less to do.

CSAs get the same layover allowance as CCs and they get to see even more amazing far away cities as they do not have turnaround flights, let's say it's rare and certainly not fuel-friendly to fly 380s on a turnaround.
